由於寫中文entries 所費需時 (兼需用本人的九牛二虎之力, 沒騙你), 今趟只好練練英文吧!

This week of work seemed a bit unusual, probably because of our principal in the office became my immediate supervisor (for these two weeks, for my PM is out of office for her honeymoon, good for her!), which happens to be quite some pressure for me.  My work on last friday was disastrous, especially when my boss was only in the office for ten minutes and the architect called in a couple times asking in a hurry for this and that.  Without much experience to deal with those minor non-structural issues, I worked those out almost for the whole day and tried to send the “requested info” to him ASAP.  Darn, I sent those by 4pm (which I felt great that I’ve finished the tasks), but then I realized that I forgot to give my work to another PM for review beforehand (one of my boss’ “orders” to me before he left).  Well, better late than never, I turned those in, asking for review, and the PM actually found out quite some things could be changed to accommodate arch/contractor’s concerns.  Though I was assured that “that was no big deal”, I felt like 一額汗, for I think I did something really wrong…  Early as 5:30pm (typically the office is emptied out by 7pm or 8pm), I was the last one to leave the office with dropped down mood.

Despite of the work’s roughness, I found great joy while attending Good Friday service at night.  I was reminded once again that Christ has paid the price for all of my sins, for everday my life is renewed everyday with my heart filled with great joy.  Feeling the great love from Jesus, I was relieved at one point, but felt undeserved at the same time.  Thank you, Lord, for taking up the cross for me!

After the service, the four of us disappeared for hi-tea nearby, and actually have “schematically” planned out the four day trip of Great Canyon.  At the same time, fun talks about “cornfield views” of mid-Western states cracked us up (see 周公子 for details).  Ha, what a night!

Getting up on Sat. morning was no easy thing, but I did! (only lying on bed, enjoying music from my 廢柴 laptop for an hour before actually getting up…)  Well, I had to go out for oil-change service for my good old car.  No deals at all, which sounds quite expensive (even though they wipe cleaned my windows, still…) Then I had some fun with fellow brothers and sisters preparing food on church lunch on sunday (aka today).  We went to XX restaurant for lunch (see 9/24/06 entry), which I once said I would never go there again.  Oh well, that wasn’t too bad this time…  In fact, an old movie of 周星星 was playing and those 無聊 jokes cracked me up, good times!  Followed with a couple hours of table pool, man, what a game…  Interestingly, I had quite some nice (and/or lucky) shots, which seemed unusual but fun…

Today is my busiest day on Sunday morning.  A double-Calvin team for sound-tech system with sure have made things going smoothly, and 100% attendance of our fellowship (along with English college fellowship’s help)for cooking church lunch also efficiently carried out the delicious food for everyone.

Today’s message:  在以馬忤斯的路上, which is a passage about Jesus appears to two followers of Christ as a patient and kind “stranger” refilling their hearts with peace and joy.  According to Pastor Eric’s explanations, 以馬忤斯 (Emanus) is a special place (though not found on map),  which is referred to the retreat of pain and sorrows.  On the road of Emanus, what does it mean?  Is Jesus with us (and heal us) along the way to the refuge?  Yes!!!  This sure is a special passage with great thoughts (for those who has different things trouble in his/her heart)!

PS…  I was too 粗心 and didn’t realize I have made one of my friends unhappy for a couple months until yesterday.  By no means of hurting anyone, I wished to help out but time was constained.  I sincerely apoligize and hope she will feel better and loosen things up…
